really good location, 5 minute drive into centre of town. staff very nice as is the food,good range of breakfast food. did have to play around a bit to get our prime stick to work on TV. would definitely stay again ( Hotel is getting refurbished at the minute so should be even better next year)
The Da Vinci hotel is on the outskirts of Derry which makes it perfect place for day trips out of Derry. It is also on a short drive to City Centre. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast has a good selection of food. All the staff are very friendly and professional. A great place to stay.
Giving 4 stars in review but i would rate hotel itself as 3 star not 4. Stayed only for one night so we didn’t really cared. Staff at the reception was very nice and helpful, access to hotel is alsovery easy and with plenty of parking . We also had a breakfast and the breakfast service was excellent and food itself was lovely as well.. On the other hand we had some issues with our room cards not working every time and carpet on third floor would also need replacement. Hotel and rooms are tidy and not dirty at all but the furniture and equipment itself doesn’t look modern ( looks like it is there for a few years already)and whole interior is at a very high standard. Room was spacious but there was no AC in the room.
Stayed there last night in one of the newly refurbished rooms, really beautiful, had dinner in the bar, lovely atmosphere, service really good and the food arrived quickly and was very tasty. Breakfast this morning was once again really good and although it was extremely busy the service was great... Will stay therd again
Not only is this a well located and lovely hotel (the bar and restaurant are lovely), but the staff were fantastic. Very welcoming and chatty when approached. Will definitely be back. Thanks again from the Glaswegian's
Stayed at the Da Vinci's Hotel recently to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. Spotlessly clean bedroom, as my mother has difficulty walking we were on the ground floor. The receptionist was exceptional, always polite and couldn't do enough for us. Exemplary service which needs to be acknowledged. Loved the pub with it's atmosphere and the centrepiece bar is fantastic architecture and the clock above is definitely a talking point. Pricing very competitive and the music was good. I caught my mum tapping her feet to the beat quite a few times. Soooooo much choice for breakfast which was well worth it and set us up for the day. Again the staff were really nice and friendly. Everyone at the hotel made our stay fantastic and most importantly we will have lovely cherished memories
Stayed here a few weeks ago, few issues at check in but were quickly rectified. Hotel manager Glenn was very accommodating and helpful. Hotel is currently under construction, so only double rooms were available for our stay, they were large rooms, well finished, TV was a bit on the small side which is only a minor issue. We didn’t eat in the bar/ restaurant except for breakfast which was very good, selection of cereals and pastries as well as hot items, coffee was good and strong. Location wise, it’s an excellent spot with plenty of parking, walking distance to several local shops and restaurants including Brunswick moviebowl which is only a 10 minute walk. The bar a was a good spot to spend the evening, live music throughout the night, lively crowd, good atmosphere and heated smoking area. All in all it was a great stay in Derry, one of the better locations we have stayed as we travel to Derry quite often. Looking forward to returning tot his hotel once the construction has been completed to stay in a suite.
Great hotel with great service. The whole hotel is under renovation but that didn't affect the quality of the service. I'd say is quite noisy and you can hear much of the room next to you. In our case, we had a group of young lads having a laugh and talking loud so at 11pm we had to call reception to ask if they could help. They went straight to talk with them and they didn't make any noise after that, so its a big kudos for the staff and the other lads as well to respect the quiet time. Sorry for being a Grinch but after a long day of adventure and a new one the next day, you need a proper sleep. The breakfast was super with lots of options and cereals. The pastries were excellent and the full English was complete. Totally worth the price! PS: it's cheaper if you book on their site directly
